Forever grateful to Bruce Tocker

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved founding trustee, Bruce Tocker. He passed away peacefully on January 26 with his brother beside him.

Bruce was unwavering in his vision to see New Zealand’s disabled community supported, advocated for, and represented to live the life they choose. Bruce played many wheelchair sports and became the New Zealand chef de mission at the Atlantic Paralympics Games in 1996. With a job at an accounts office, Bruce rose quickly through the ranks to become a finance manager. Together with our fellow-founder, John Dobson, Bruce worked hard to add value to the disabled community by simplifying the path to getting the help they needed.

May he rest in love.
