Waikato Community-Based Programmes

We offer a wide range of community-based programmes in Waikato, including Sporting Opportunity After-School, Life Friends, Life Fit, Multi-Sensory Room, Positive Action Course, Transition Programme, Ngā Mara Ātea – A Marae-Centred Programme, and Enabling Good Lives Waikato support.

Manaaki Tangata: Māori Disability Support

Our free, community-based Māori disability support service is available to all whānau wanting support when accessing disability services in our communities.

Free Hearing Tests and Advice

Are you concerned about your hearing? We provide free hearing tests and can help you access funding for hearing aids and other assistive equipment. We also offer personalised support to help you manage your hearing impairment – at home, at work, and in social situations. Our services are completely independent and fully funded by the New Zealand Government.

Autism Information, Workshops and Support

Altogether Autism is a free, nationwide autism information and advisory service funded by the New Zealand Government. We offer free personalised and reliable information, networking and connection opportunities, workshops, and support. If you have any questions about autism, simply contact us and we’ll provide you with up-to-date reliable information. 

Disability Information and Workshops

We provide numerous learning opportunities for autistic and disabled people, their families / whānau, and the people engaging and working with them. Our workshops, courses, and up-to-date information will give you a greater understanding of disabilities and enable disabled people to live the life they choose in their communities. Mobility Equipment and Living Aids

Mobility Centre is New Zealand’s mobility aid and equipment centre, offering an extensive range of mobility products and services including daily living aids, mobility scooters, walkers, braces and supports, and so much more.

You can view the extensive range online or come and see us at our Hamilton store. Alternatively, if you’re in Coromandel, you can view a small range of products at our local retail partner, Whitianga Community Services Trust. 

Total Mobility

If you are unable to travel safely on public transport, you may be eligible for subsidised taxi services with up to 75% off the normal fare.
