Who can get support from Connections & Funding?
Your Way | Kia Roha provides Connections & Funding services to disabled people living in the Tairāwhiti, Taranaki, Whanganui, Hutt, Otago and Southland areas who have the following diagnosis:
- a physical, sensory, or intellectual disability, ASD (or a combination of these) likely to last for more than six months, and
- is younger than 65 when diagnosed, and
- the disability or disabilities reduce the person’s independence to the extent that ongoing support is required and remains even after equipment, treatment and/or rehabilitation is provided.
Disabilities can be:
- physical
- autism
- sensory: vision and/or hearing
- intellectual
