Your Way | Kia Roha has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Advisor! As the Quality Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and monitoring our organisation’s quality processes. Your work will contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ultimately enhancing outcomes for the individuals we serve. Your approach to quality activities will be clear, concise, and purposeful, ensuring that they add tangible value and are embraced by all levels of the organisation.

Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with Managers and Team Leaders to investigate, identify areas for improvement, and implement practical solutions. As a member of the Business Services team, you will ensure the timely delivery of all quality-related services, meeting the dynamic needs of the organisation. Your role within the hub will require close collaboration with other team members to ensure effective and coordinated efforts across the organisation.

This role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

As a Quality Advisor for Your Way | Kia Roha the successful applicant will:

  • Understand, and have commitment to, the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles and how to apply these in practice to increase disabled people’s options and decision making over their support and lives
  • Have proven continuous quality improvement experience, is self-motivated and seeks to continually deliver excellent quality services
  • Be able to be creative about how information is reflected back to the person
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to empathise
  • Have the ability to ask open questions and use judgement to determine where more information is needed
  • Have cultural awareness, particularly, tikanga, Te Ao Māori and Pasifika
  • Have the ability to build rapport and strong connections with a wide range of people
  • Be able to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels; puts others at ease; promotes harmony and consensus through diplomatic handling of disagreements and potential conflict
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and able to adapt communication skills to the situation at hand
  • Have a deep understanding and/or lived experience of a disability or personal experience as whānau member supporting a person with a disability or within the disability community.
