We have an exciting new opportunity available within our Tairāwhiti-based team for a team leader. In this role you will lead a small team of professionals who support people with disabilities and their whānau within the community. This is a mid-level role, perfect for someone wanting to take the next step in their management journey.

About the role:

The role is both busy and varied therefore we are looking for someone who likes a challenge, can build and maintain strong relationships within their community ensuring the people we are working with are able to achieve the best outcome, whilst also leading and coaching a small team.

This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week maximum with flexibility in these hours for the right candidate.  The Team Leader reports to a Wellington-based manager. 

As a Team Leader for Your Way | Kia Roha the successful applicant will have: 

  • Experience leading a team.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Experience working with a data entry or client management system. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of the Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Connections within Tairāwhiti.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori.
