About the Role

The Referrals Coordinator is responsible for ensuring disabled people and their whānau receive a responsive, accurate, and reliable referrals experience.

You’ll receive and assess referrals, determine eligibility, provide information about local services, and ensure information is captured correctly and on time.

This role suits someone who values accuracy, steady delivery, and being someone others can count on.

This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the Kia Ora / Welcome process, guiding people through eligibility and referrals
  • Managing referral administration and eligibility decisions with consistency and sound judgement
  • Ensuring timely, accurate data entry and information management
  • Meeting contract and KPI timeframes
  • Building trusted relationships with disabled people, whānau, and community partners
  • Following established systems, tools, and policies to deliver high quality, dependable service

What You’ll Bring

  • Understanding of (or commitment to) the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make consistent decisions
  • High attention to detail and confidence working with systems and processes
  • Cultural awareness, including tikanga, Te Ao Māori and Pasifika contexts
  • Ideally, lived experience of disability, or experience supporting disabled people or whānau
