Policy and Process Specialist

Your Way | Kia Roha has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Policy and Process Specialist. 

This role is critical to the effective design, development, and successful implementation of policies and quality processes across our organisation.  You will ensure our policies and processes are straightforward, concise, and relevant to ensure these activities are aligned to our culture, add value, and are fully embraced by our people.

Working in close collaboration with managers and leaders across our organisation to identify and investigate opportunities for improvement, you will be a key part of our Business Support team and implement practical solutions across our organisation. You will ensure timely delivery and proactive management of key policies and processes to build efficiencies in delivering services and outcomes to our clients and communities.

You will have experience collecting, analysing, and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and patterns with a view to identifying opportunities for improvement. 

Additionally, this role has oversight of risk identification and management, and is our Privacy Officer.

This role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

As the Policy and Process Specialist at Your Way | Kia Roha the successful applicant will:

  • Have proven policy development and process improvement experience, be self-motivated, and seeking to deliver excellent quality outcomes
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to empathise
  • Possess effective judgement to determine where further information is needed
  • Be comfortable asking open questions to build information and context
  • Have cultural awareness, particularly tikanga, Te Ao Maori and Pasifika
  • Can build rapport and strong connections with a diverse range of people
  • Be able to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Have an understanding and / or lived experience of disability or experience supporting whānau with a disability or in the disability community, or a willingness to learn.
