Community Facilitator

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Facilitator to join our supportive and dedicated team in Lower Hutt.

No two days would be the same in the Community Facilitator role. You would be responsible for working alongside disabled people and their whānau, linking people to information, resources and services in their community.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As a Community Facilitator for Your Way | Kia Roha the successful applicant will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the wider disability community, and external networks
  • Bring strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to a range of people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Be creative about how information is reflected to people / whānau supported
  • Be able to problem solve complex situations and develop funding / support packages that provide great outcomes
  • Have IT knowledge and confidence with using databases and Microsoft programs
  • Have a good understanding of the disability sector, The treaty of Waitangi and EGL principles
  • Current driver’s license preferred (not essential).
