Mandatory Basic Training for Multi-Sensory Environment Support People
Family members, caregivers, and support workers wanting to support people to use the multi-sensory environment (MSE) room or garden must first complete a Your Way | Kia Roha MSE basic training course before they can use the facility. This six-hour training course is carried out from 9.00am to 3.00pm in Hamilton at least nine times a year, for a fee of $50 per person (including GST).
MSE Support People Refresher Training
A practical two-hour MSE refresher training course is available for staff / whānau who have completed multi-sensory basic training within the past three years with Your Way | Kia Roha, previously known as Life Unlimited. The refresher training will provide participants with more insight, ideas, and skills to assist the people they are supporting to get maximum benefit from the multi-sensory room. It will also help the managers of staff bringing clients to the MSE room to understand the benefits of the facility.
Some pre-course reading is required, and exercises will be carried out in a staff meeting or with whānau prior to attending this refresher course. Details will be emailed to participants once the registration form is received.
This two-hour refresher course is offered approximately monthly Hamilton for a fee of $5 per person (including GST).
Organisational Training
Organisational specific training is also available, as well as training on how to improve or develop your own sensory space. The cost and timing duration of this customised training will be provided once we understand your specific requirements.

Payment
Payment for MSE training can be made by cash, EFTPOS, credit / debit card, purchase order or bank transfer. Invoicing can also be set up for pre-approved suppliers.
