Workshop Purpose
This workshop is for parents, family / whānau, educators and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Autistic and neurodivergent children and what they need from us.
What You Will Learn
Gain insights into the biology beneath behaviour with a compassionate approach that supports understanding of emotions and the development of self-regulation skills in children.
This workshop draws on information from Dr Mona Delahooke’s book, “Brain-Body Parenting”, as well as other sources, such as Dr Ross Greene’s “Kids Do Well If They Can” framework.
Workshop Details
Duration: 2 hours OR self-directed online at your own pace.
Where available:
- Live in-person workshops (either as a public workshop or at your location)
- Live online via Zoom or MS Teams
- Self-directed online learning via Moodle.
Facilitators: All our learning events are facilitated by presenters with in-depth knowledge and/or lived experience of autism.
In addition to being available on request, this workshop is offered throughout the year at various locations as part of the Altogether Autism community workshops.
