You might be in lockdown, but you are not alone!
In the last few weeks we have seen COVID-19 return to New Zealand in the form of the Delta variant.
New Zealand is in various stages of lockdown.
During this time, we don’t want people with hearing loss to feel unsupported.
You may feel a bit confused. You may have a family member or friend who you know may need our support with their hearing.
Wherever you are in your hearing journey, we are here to support you and your family with your communication needs. We can meet in a way that suits you – Live Chat, email, phone, text, Skype, Zoom, Facetime etc.
We will be posting helpful tips and videos here on our website, You Tube, Facebook and MailChimp to keep you supported over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for them.
The following are just some of the Ministry of Health-funded services that we can support you with:
- Communication strategies
- Hearing aid management
- General advice to manage your hearing
- Cochlear implant support and rehabilitation
- Managing sound from your TV or telephone
For example – the phone has become an important tool, especially now that we cannot visit others. If you have trouble hearing on the phone, there are a number of things you can try.
This is a good time to check out the features of your phone so that you can fully utilise the options that may be available to you. For example, most modern phones have volume controls – some hearing enhanced phones also have a special volume boost.
Check out your phone now and see what it has or have a look at this UNIDEN XSE45 Cordless Phone.
Please remember that we are only a phone call, or email away.
Phone 0800 008 011; or email [email protected] to be in touch with a hearing therapist.
We can offer advice and support.
