Modification grant

A modification grant from Work and Income is available to help people with disabilities stay in their existing job or find new work. It can help with the cost of things like ramps or handrails, visual aids or specialised computer equipment.

Job Support fund

Workbridge is an employment service responsible for administering the Job Support fund. Job Support helps people moving into employment as well as assisting people who are in employment to stay in their jobs when they experience the onset of a disability or a worsening condition. It can be used to fund workplace modifications or special assistive equipment. It can also be used for a range of other purposes such as sign language interpreters, coaching, training, and transportation costs.

Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC)

ACC may fund workplace modifications and provide assistive devices to people whose disability is the result of an accident. They can also provide transportation assistance to help get to and from work. Find out more about support from ACC.
