About Blind, DeafBlind and Low Vision Sport and Physical Recreation

Supports individuals with vision impairment across Aotearoa to get active. Blind Sport New Zealand works with: all ages, all levels of activity (participation and competitive), all vision impairments, including individuals with additional needs, all sports and active recreation. Upskills coaches, sport organisations and schools on how to ensure their sport is inclusive. Advocates for inclusive opportunities in all areas of sport. Supports the sport community and Blind Sport New Zealand members with programmes and events. Runs youth programmes and events. Sports include athletics, cricket, cycling, fishing, goalball, golf, indoor bowls, lawn bowls, lifting, martial arts, sailing, snow sports, and swimming.
